Timothy Howard granted record $2.5 million settlement
The Columbus Dispatch reports here that Ohio death row exoneree Timothy Howard has received a record $2.5 million settlement from the State of Ohio - eclipsing the previous largest settlement of $1.075 million granted to Clarence Elkins. Franklin Cty Prosecutor Ron O'Brien also confirmed that he will not appeal the recent jury verdict finding Howard factually innocent of the 1976 murder and robbery he had originally been sentenced to death for.
